Dates

In the Middle East and North Africa date palms are called "the tree of life" and the "king of the oasis". It is a symbol of fertility over there.

Date palms have satisfy many of the needs of life.The fruit of date palms are a staple food in the Arabic world. People eat it raw, cooked, baked. Dates are very sweet, they have the high content of glucose, fructose and sucrose. They are perfect as a snack food. In arabic world dates are used to make date juice, non-alcoholic champagne, different delicacies and desserts.

In the United States dates are grown in California in the desert valleys of Coachella and Bard.
